I travel regularly to Christchurch for business and hadn’t settled on a preferred hotel until now. The Drifter exceeded my expectations with plenty of co-working spaces, perfect for my work and client meetings. Additionally, the hotel offers boardrooms, a cinema, wellness studio, meditation room, and a library. Their restaurant and bar opens in August. Upon entering, I was greeted by the warm atmosphere that fills the hotel. The staff were not only welcoming but also attentive to my needs throughout my stay. Needless to say, I will absolutely be returning to The Drifter!

This is definitely one of the best places I’ve stayed in over here in NZ. It’s super clean, in a great location and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The activities they run are great too - movie nights, yoga and wellbeing events and it’s really social - would definitely recommend staying here!

Drifter was incredibly clean and the staff were very friendly. It was a perfect location to be in walking distances for all of Christchurch town. Plus a short walk to the bus exchange if you need to go out of town. The communal/entrance set the vibe, all very nice lighting and seating areas with some cool outdoor areas.

My stay at Drifter was absolutely perfect! Loved the decor and all the different shared spaces. The co-working set up is awesome and the location couldn’t be better to explore the city. The staff had plenty of good recommendations and were super approachable. Can’t wait to be back!

I recently stayed here and had a fantastic experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and cozy, and the location couldn't be better for exploring Christchurch. I loved the vibrant atmosphere of the common areas and the convenience of the well-equipped kitchen. Highly recommend for any traveler looking for comfort and convenience.

The property itself is amazing. Shared facilities include a kitchen, games room, yoga studio, library, and cinema room. The rooms are beautiful, both the private and dorms. The staff are absolutely lovely, extremely personable, and attentive.

Everything was so clean and fresh. The staff were incredible and so helpful. The facilities were amazing and unlike anything I’ve ever had at an accommodation, especially so close to the city. It was easily the best accommodation I’ve stayed in. :)

I like and love this place, clean, friendly staff, spacious, accessible just maybe hard to find a parking well knowingly its in business area of Christchurch . There's a Wilson public parking, but you need to pay.. I thought if it's public parking, there is nothing to pay 😀 ,I paid 13 bucks for overnight parking. This place has towels, too, compared to some other backpackers' place, that's why I liked it ☺️ and a safe place to stay and quite too.... and I love the way the beds are. They are not facing each other, so have this kinda privacy too, tho the rooms are for 8 beds. there's a lot more, I can say, but I'm running out of time, lol. But no kidding aside, I highly recommended this place 👌👍🙌🫰 #exceptional

"I wanted to move in" 😍 I loved Drifter Christchurch. Friendly Staff, very clean rooms, very clean kitchen, very clean ommunal rooms, very comfy bed, clean showers, elevator to all floors, morning yoga classes 😁 movie night ❣️ board games, pool table and old fashion table hockey game. only 6 weeks opened, but what an awesome place!!! I had phone trouble so wasn't able to check in online, but checked in old- chool and very helpful receptionist made checking in so easy 😃 paid $42 per night for 8 bed dorm, Drifter is very close to Chch Bus Interchange, very handy if you have an early InterCity Bus Trip the next morning. I'll definitely 😁 recommend Drifter to everyone looking for a clean and comfortable stay in Christchurch. Thank You very much. from Cathy ps please share kindness when staying away from home, wash, dry and put away your dishes, clean up any mess or spills and try to leave areas clean and tidy, help the staff who go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and clean.
